48 Hour Film Festival

Rea Kapur has competed in 4 timed film making competitions through the San Jose 48 Hour Film Project. In 2017, she won a Producer's Award for a film she co wrote and co produced, "Stop at the Top." The film also went on to win Best Actor and was nominated for Best Film as well at the 2017 San Jose 48 Hour Film Project.

Creator Reel

Since 2015, Rea has spent her time writing, producing, acting, and directing in her own films. Starting off with virtually no budget, Rea reaches out to people in the Bay Area and gets shit done. Whether it's putting on a comedy show or creating low budget short films, Rea works diligently and passionately to share her stories with the world.

Comedy

In 2015, Rea attended her first college level acting class and within the first week, the teacher pulled Rea aside to tell her she should go into comedy. From there, Rea jumped into the world of improv, stand up, and sketch comedy. After learning about Second City as a teenager, Rea made it her goal to finish their improv and sketch program. In Summer 2019, Rea was lucky enough to have the opportunity to study at Second City Chicago in person. Since December 2020, Rea has been taking online classes remotely with Second City Chicago and LA. She plans to move out to LA or Chicago to finish her education there.
